Bad Mystery Shops at the Donut Shop

How many times have you ever been at a restaurant and wished that you were a secret shopper? The reason that you often wish this is because you receive bad service, but you rarely think this whenever you receive good service. Whenever you become a mystery shopper, you don't necessarily do so in order to report that a person is doing a bad thing. What the business establishments are really trying to find out is if things are running in a smooth fashion. They also want to make sure that their business is kept clean and orderly.

There are times, however, whenever you do receive bad service when you're out on a mystery shop. The business that you are mystery shopping will certainly want to know this, as they will want to correct the situation before it happens again. For this reason, it is typically necessary for you to get the name and a description of the person that is waiting on you. It may also be necessary for you to find out the name of the manager that is on duty whenever you took part in the mystery shop.

The worst mystery shop that I ever did was whenever I was at a doughnut shop. Typically, doughnut shops are something that I enjoy doing as it gives you a few dollars in your pocket along with a cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich. This particular time, everything went wrong from the type of service that I received down to the food that was given to me. I don't think that they got any good marks the entire time that I was there. Here is what happened.

At this particular shop, I was supposed to start at the drive-through window and order the food that I was going to get it. The drive up window was in very bad shape and the restaurant menu was barely legible because of the glass being so dirty. Not only that, the outside grounds were dirty and trash was visible in almost every area of the parking lot. The person that took my order did nothing that they were supposed to do and then neglected to give me a receipt, which I needed to ask for in order to be compensated.

After we were done at the drive-through, we went into the restaurant in order to see how things were running inside. The entire restaurant was a mess, and it looked as though nobody had cleaned the floor or the tables since they had opened in the morning. The bathrooms were also in bad shape as one of them was not working and the other was very dirty. Many of the products that we were supposed to check on were not available in this particular store which also gave them bad marks.

I don't like to see anyone get into trouble, but I was happy to fill out the form in the evening as I knew that it would help this particular business to get its employees to do what was expected of them. It was the worst shop that I ever had to do, and I can't imagine one ever going this way again.
