Wanna Be a Mystery Shopper?

Well who can blame you! Work when you want and get paid for shopping. Sheesh, sounds like a dream to most of us. But this dream can be a reality. People just like you everywhere are being paid to go clothes shopping, have dinner at restaurants, get their grocery shopping done, and even buying the gas to get there. No wonder Oprah did a full-blown piece about this glamorous little side-business.

How it Works

Companies that want to hire secret shoppers in certain areas will post a new job listing to the mystery shopping companies. The networks are immediately notified about the new job listings. These networks are usually membership websites where many people that are willing to do these shopping jobs belong. The members are notified about the job posting and those interested in jobs that are local to them pick them up.

Not All Networks are Created Equal

As a mystery shopper, it's important to belong to a good network. If all you are getting is a place to login where you can check job postings, that ain't much. We'd join another network, such as our recommended one above. A good service should provide you with:

  • Training & personal attention

  • email Notification on new offerings

  • Exclusive job offers to that network

  • A reminder service

  • Reviews of companies/jobs from other members

...to name a few of the features you should expect. Also, it is critical that whoever is running the network isn't asleep at the wheel. Time is of the essence and those new job postings need to be relayed fast so you can get a jump on them!
